VFD Solutions

Variable Frequency Drive selection, panel building, installation and tuning that cut motor energy use, reduce mechanical stress and give you precise control of speed and torque.

VFD Solutions

Typical VFD applications

  • Pumps and booster systems
  • Fans, blowers and HVAC
  • Conveyors and material handling
  • Compressors, mixers and extruders
Overview

Run motors at the speed your process actually needs

Many motors run at full speed while dampers, valves or bypasses throttle the output, wasting energy every hour they operate. On pumps and fans, reducing speed with a VFD can deliver large energy savings because power demand falls sharply as speed drops.

DCPS engineers select the right drive for each motor and application, build VFD panels with proper cooling, filtering and protection, and commission them with correctly tuned parameters. We also address harmonics and cable issues so the drive does not create new problems in your electrical network.

Our drives integrate with your PLC or SCADA over fieldbus, giving operators remote control and diagnostic data from a single screen.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much energy can a VFD save?

Savings depend on how much the motor runs below full load. Variable-torque loads like pumps and fans usually give the highest savings. We measure your motors and give you an estimate before any purchase.

Will a VFD cause harmonics in my system?

Drives do produce harmonic currents. We assess the impact and add reactors or filters where needed so your network stays within recommended limits.

Can VFDs be used with existing motors?

In most cases, yes. We check motor insulation, cable length and cooling at low speed, and recommend output filters or inverter-duty motors where required.

Do you supply VFD panels ready to install?

Yes. We design and build complete VFD panels, test them in our workshop and deliver them ready for site installation.
